SIGHUP Distribution Updates: v1.33.1
New release of SIGHUP Distribution v1.33.1

We're excited to announce the release of SIGHUP Distribution version v1.33.1!

This release introduces support for Kubernetes v1.32.8, v1.31.12 and installs Kubernetes v1.33.4, updates all core modules, adds new configuration parameters for easier deployment on bare metal machines and introduces our CIS Benchmark test. This version also includes important breaking changes that require specific upgrade procedures.

Key Highlights:

  • Kubernetes 1.33 support: the latest version includes Kubernetes v1.33.4 with general improvements across the distribution.
  • Breaking changes: Amazon Linux 2 AMI is deprecated for EKS clusters; migration to Amazon Linux 2023 is required before upgrading EKS clusters.
  • CIS Benchmark: SIGHUP Distribution is now tested against our opinionated implementation of the Center for Internet Security Kubernetes Benchmark, to align with its core security best practices while adapting to our architectural design principles.
  • High-density node configurations: this feature introduces new customization options for high-density node configurations in Bare metal machines, such as CIDR block size control for Calico networking and kernel parameter optimization capabilities for each cluster node.
  • Module updates: all core modules have been updated including networking, monitoring, ingress, logging, tracing, policy, DR, and auth components.
